The founders of BirdfeederDiscovery.com have been directly involved with the study of birds and environmental education for more than 30 years. The President of BirdfeederDiscovery.com is the former Director of The Irvine Nature Center in the Greenspring Valley of Baltimore County, Maryland.
In 1976, the Nature Center invited Barbara Ross and volunteer members of the Maryland Ornithological Society, to begin the Irvine Center’s Birdbanding Research Program. This program continues today and has made a significant contribution to ornithology by building our knowledge of bird migration routes, migration duration and life span for each of the many bird species banded.
A native of New England, the President of BirdfeederDiscovery.com also served on the Board of Directors of the Charles River Watershed Association where he was a member of the team that launched the Run of the Charles canoe race. Over the years thousands of dollars have been raised to preserve wildlife habitat and further environmental protection in Eastern Massachusetts.
Recently, Ed served on the Board of Directors of ECO, the Earth Communications Office, known for producing environmental films/trailers seen in movie theatres around the world.
Through our website products and information, we are here to support your discoveries made at the backyard birdfeeder. We have many birdfeeders, birdhouses, binoculars, spotting scopes, books, DVD's and birding accessories.

About our Logo (by Sandy Glover)
When it was time to create a logo to represent BirdfeederDiscovery, Ed knew exactly where to start. Artist/naturalist Sandy Glover had created many drawings for the Irvine Nature Center in Maryland.
When Ed inquired as to her present address, he was pleasantly surprised to learn that Sandy was now leading nature walks and pursuing her bird and botanical art projects in Malibu, California.
The goal for the new logo was a fun depiction of the antics viewed at many birdfeeders. We couldn't be happier with the end result. Thank you, Sandy.
